Paolo has a unique approach to the bandoneon. His solo live performances are an intimate encounter where Paolo presents his original works from his three bandoneon solo albums.

Paolo Russo solo - bandoneon & piano
Paolo started out his musical career on the piano. Graduated from the Classical Conservatory in Pescara, Italy in 1993 and later from The Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2002. Tangology - with Ensemble Midtvest
An instrumental work in 11 episodes, composed and arranged by Paolo Russo, for the international Ensemble Midtvest. The musical story of an imaginary voyage with an unusual protagonist - the bandoneon.
Imaginary Soundtrack
"Imaginary Soundtrack" is a work composed by Paolo Russo for a highly unusual constellation of instruments: recorder, vibraphone, contrabass and bandoneon. Released on Odradek Records in September 2019.
Concerto for bandoneon solo and chamber orchestra
November 2019 Paolo recorded his first Concerto for Bandoneon and Chamber Orchestra in 3 movements, a post-Piazzolla oriented work that presents elements of classical, folk, jazz and film-music.
